Recipe: Kale Chips

This isn’t so much of a recipe so much as a delicious idea!  I would have never thought of this myself, but a friend told me about this and I had to dry it.  Soon did I find out that it is, indeed, a delicious nutritious super food snack!

Ingredients:

Kale, Olive Oil, Course Salt/Pepper/Spices you like

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2. Wash Kale and dry thoroughly
  3. Cut the stem out of the kale leaves and toss (you only need the leafy part)
  4. Toss in a bowl with olive oil till leaves are coated (you could use a spray oil instead)
  5. Use salt & pepper to season (careful not to over-salt, it’s easy to think you need more when you don’t)
  6. Add your own favorite seasonings (my personal favorite is garlic)
  7. Spread thinly and  evenly over Cookie sheets or baking dishes
  8. Cook for about 10 to 15 minutes.  Kale should be brown on edges and crispy not burnt!
